We just went from a birthday party of the granddaughter of tita's friend and tita wanted to unwind and go by the sea. So she suggested that we go to Jeram. It was 1 hour and a half drive from Prima Selayang.

One thing you'll really enjoy in Malaysia is the road trip. Ansarap magroad trip men! Why? Impressive infrastructure. Ang ganda ng road. Walang traffic. Parang skyway lahat ng road. May express way anywhere you wanna go. Great view while driving. Lots of trees and surrounded by mountains. The highway was filled with lights so kahit gabi na safe pa din. They have easy to follow road signs.

When we arrived in Jeram it was raining but it still gave us a great view of the sun set.

The sea in Jeram is not for swimming but It is a great spot for fishing. No one was fishing that time because it was raining. Our boy still tried though. Pinagbigyan na namin. Trip niya yun eh.

Jeram is also a good place to buy dried fishes, kerang and other seafoods. There were a lot of stalls selling goods. We dind't get to take a look closely because of the weather.

Their umbrellas aren't enough to cover customers.

(Food court in Jeram)

We had dinner in their covered food court. Uso sa Malaysia yung ganitong style ng kainan.

We ordered grilled Kerang. It was served in a huge platter with sweet and spicy dips. Baby girl ate a lot of those. She enjoyed it a lot she finished most of it. Masarap nga siya, infairness naman. Yung dip yung nagpasarap dun eh.

(Kerang = Clams with Sweet Chili sauce)

May friend's younger brother ordered chicken chops - his favorite. The chicken chops went with fries and salad. I didn't get to try this one kasi mukhang kulang pa sa kanya eh. Hahaha. That's a good sign right?

For me and my buddy, we ordered Nasi Goreng Ayam and Char Kway Teow. There was a misunderstanding when we were ordering so we were served Char Kway Teow basah (saucy version). I didn't like it. I want my Char Kway Teow dry.

The look was not appetizing. The taste was a little salty and I didn't taste anything other than that. Kulang sa flavour. I can only see mostly was the noodles and sauce. Not what I expected.

Nothing special with Nasi goreng Ayam as well. Though unlike the Char Kway Teow you see that it has veggies and meat in there.

For drinks we got Teh tarik, Teh O Ays for the kids and just warm water for tita.

(Teh O Ays for RM 1..70)

We liked the Teh O Ays because the tea was really brewed. Not just powdered tea.

The teh tarik was creamy and you can taste the brewed tea in it as well. Loved it.

Warning: Do not drink water in Jeram. When we got home we (me, my friend, her brother and tita) got LBM. Tita only drank warm water and we asked for cold water aside from the tea that we ordered. Bunso didn't drink water. I'm pretty sure the water was the culprit.

For me, the highlight of this trip was yung drive papunta at pabalik. I think it's because the road trip experience in Malaysia is soooo diferrent from the Philippines. I mean, you know what I'm talking about. Who wouldn't love driving on a smooth traffic flow with a breath taking view?
