(Just right outside Kuala Lumpur City Gallery)
Most of the tourist spots are in KL so we won't be missing a chance to go there. With not so much preparation and woking up late we went to KL.
Getting to KL..
For a change instead of using a car we decided to go by bus. We wanted to experience using public transportation since we've been going places by car since we arrived. We thought it would be fun. We're ready for this challenge.
First challenge: Getting to the bus stop. From the place we were staying (Magnaville Selayang) the bus stop was just right beside it. The thing is there was no walk way on the side so literally we have to go around the condo which was so far. So tita drove us to the bus stop. It was just 5 minutes drive to Jalan Kuching bus stop. There we waited for a bus going to Pasar Seni. By the way, the buses were by number. Di ko nga lang maalala kung anong bus number yun. The bus number going back from Pasar Seni to Prima Selayang was 43 so it might be the same bus number.
Up for the next challenge: The waiting time. It took us 15-30 minutes for us to get on the bus. It was striking hot outside but at least there was a shed. Keribels na.
Just like in Philippines they have a conductor to get your fare. The bus fare from Selayang to Pasar Seni costs RM 2 each. Not bad for 45 to 1 hour bus ride. It's actually cheaper compared to an hour bus ride from SM North Q.C. to Leveriza Pasay for Php 70+.

(Bus ticket from Selayang to Pasar Seni for RM 2 each)
The passengers get on and off only on bus stops. They press a red stop button on the overhead to signal the driver that they wish to get off. Then the driver stops on the next bus stop. I really hope this bus stop be strictly implemented in the Philippines and Filipinos to follow this system.
We got off in Pasar Seni near the Sultan Abdul Samad building. We walked to the first destination to look for food. It was already passed lunch time and we're starving. Time to grab lunch.
First stop: Jalan Petaling (read: Jalan = Street)
Jalan Petaling has a shed to protect you from the sun and rain so you can enjoy walking no matter what the weather is. You see Chinese lanterns hanging as decorations. The street was full of vendors selling different stuff from food to clothes to bags to gadgets.
You can probably find anything here. Pwedeng tumawad kasi parang Binondo lang. You can find different races here but of course nangingibabaw ang Chinese. Dami ding turista.

(Jalan Petaling: a stretch of tiangges with lots of tourists)
Then our feet brought us to Tang City food court - still in Jalan Petaling. You can find lots of choices here from Indian, Malay to Chinese food. Like a food court it has tables and chairs at the center.
The method of buying here was to order to the booths then it will be delivered to your table then you pay.
We bought Pork dumpling noodles served with Jalapeño on the side. Kahit mainit, sige lang sa noodles. Ansarap ng sabaw.
Kulang ang meal pag walang kanin so we bought Tomyam fried rice. It has shrimp, squid and vegetables. A bit sour because of calamansi. It's a big serving that's good for two of us.
As refreshment we ordered lychee juice. So fresh that it has real lychee fruits in it.

(Pork Dumpling Noodles for RM 5.50, Tomyan fried rice for RM 8.00 and Lychee juice for RM 5.00)
Next Stop: Central Market and Kasturi Walk

(Awesome architecture covering Kasturi walk)

(Booths and stalls along Kasturi walk)

(Jalan Hang Kasturi Shophouses - just right beside Kasturi Walk)

(Lots of foreigners including Pinoys inside)

(The interior of Central Market)
Central market and Kasturi walk is just few blocks away from Jalan Petaling. Just around 5 minutes walk. Katsuri walk was just right beside the Central market and it's outdoor so we went there first. Like Jalan Petaling Katsuri walk is a covered walkway with an al fresco ambience. It also has kiosks of souvenirs and snacks.
We bought popcorn chops from Uncle Bob's for Rm 7.00

(This bag was half filled with Chicken Chops. Andami! Sarap! Sulit!)
Then we went in to the Central market. Central market was built in 1880 as a wet market until it was transformed in 1970 which today serves as cultural and shopping destination for locals and tourists alike. There were a lot of shops selling souvenirs, clothes and gadgets. There were cafes and restaurants. We also found a fish spa. We discovered this because of the tourists giggling aloud as the fishes tickles their feet.

(Foreigners enjoying their spa)
Aside from other foreigners In Central market, dami ding Pinoy. Siguro dahil sa sobrang dami ng Pinoy sa Malaysia kaya isang tingin pa lang ng locals samin alam na nila ng Pinoy kami. They even know some Tagalog words. Kaaliw lang.
Just when we thought of going to the next destination there comes the next challenge. It was raining outside. So we stayed in Central market for a while. E antagal tumila, so we decided to go for it. Mas importante makapasyal. Hahaha..
